Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargav said here on Monday that the city was keeping pace with the rest of the country in the march towards development and if the city developed, the state would develop, like the rest of the country.

He was speaking at the first ‘Jan Sanwad’ (public dialogue) held here at Ravindra Natya Grih for preparation of the vision document 2047 of the district.

To note, the Madhya Pradesh government is preparing a vision document titled ‘Developed Madhya Pradesh 2047’ with the aim of moving towards all-round and inclusive development of the state and making the state a developed one along with the rest of the country by the year 2047.

The format of the vision document of ‘Developed Madhya Pradesh 2047’ is being prepared and will be shared with the districts. On the basis of this format, each district will be able to prepare its district-level vision document aligned with the overall vision of Madhya Pradesh.

This process will ensure holistic and inclusive development by incorporating the characteristics, priorities and possibilities of the districts. As per the instructions of the state government, the vision documents of the districts will be prepared city, urban area and assembly area wise keeping in view the year 2047.

Apart from the Mayor, collector Asheesh Singh, IMC commissioner Shivam Verma, Smart City CEO Divyank Singh, MPIDC Executive Director Rajesh Rathore, members of the Mayor in Council (MIC) of IMC, a few councillors, intellectuals of the city, officers of various organizations and officers of related departments participated in this first Jan Samwad programme.

The Mayor sought cooperation and suggestions of all intellectuals in this development journey. Some intellectuals of the city gave their valuable suggestions which will be compiled and sent to the state government. Ironically, a large number of IMC councillors and MLAs were absent from the meeting.
