Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh): A chaotic scene erupted at a U-20 state-level Kabaddi championship after a player of the Indore team slapped the referee for declaring his teammate ‘out.’ The opponent Gwalior team, in return, attacked the Indore team and started hurling chairs at them.
The incident occurred during a knockout match held in Madhya Pradesh’s Gwalior on Thursday night, with only one minute remaining and both teams tied at 25 points.
After the referee signalled ‘OUT’ to an Indore player, another team player slapped him. Following this, Gwalior—the winning team—started throwing chairs at the opponents. The video of the same has gone viral on social media.
In the viral video, the players were seen thrashing chairs at each other.

According to information, the 50th State Level Junior Under-20 Championship, Mayor Sports Festival, began at the Phool Bagh ground in Gwalior. The Kabaddi knockout match took place between Gwalior and Indore on Thursday.
The match turned exciting with the score reaching 25-25 points for both teams, and only one minute was left. The supporters of both teams then gathered at the spot and started shouting slogans for the victory of their team. Meanwhile, Assistant Referee Sanskar Singh signalled an Indore player out of the match as per the rules.
Angry, one of Indore’s team players wearing T-shirt number 11 pushed the referee and slapped him in his face. The spectators then rushed towards the Indore players and started kicking and punching them with chairs. The Gwalior team then teamed up with the spectators and started hitting them with chairs.
Meanwhile, the organisers informed the police and the police reached the spot immediately. However, the situation became controlled and Indore team fled from the ground.
