Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV) is all set to host the much-awaited second season of its annual alumni get-together titled “Samagam 2.0” bringing together graduates from various teaching departments for a two-day celebration. This year, a special highlight is the inclusion of spouses and children allowing alumni to bring their families along to the get-together.

The event will take place on December 23 and December 24 promising an engaging and nostalgic experience for alumni of all batches. The inaugural event will kick-start at the university’s auditorium on UTD campus on December 23, where alumni will gather for a grand opening ceremony. The inaugural event will followed by a cultural programme and dinner. The following day, a series of activities will be held at the departmental level allowing alumni to reconnect with their respective faculties and peers and current students.

The departments/institutes have organised recreational activities, industry-academia sessions and more. In an effort to ensure smooth participation, Devi Ahilya University Alumni Association (DUAA) has made registration mandatory for all attendees. Alumni can register online by paying a fee of Rs 500 per person. Upon successful verification of their registrations, the DUAA will issue passes to the alumni for the event.

For the first time, alumni will be allowed to bring their families along. Spouses and children above the age of five can attend the event by paying a registration fee of Rs 500 per head. However, there is no charge for children below the age of five. DUAA president Maya Ingle expressed her excitement for the event, stating, “This year’s ‘Samagam 2.0’ will be bigger and better than last year’s edition. We are looking forward to reconnecting with alumni, celebrating our shared history and building stronger ties with the university.”

With anticipation building around the event, alumni from across the globe are expected to join in to celebrate the rich legacy of DAVV, reminisce about their university days and foster lasting connections with fellow graduates. Those interested in attending can visit the DAVV website for more details and to complete the registration process.

“Get ready to relive the memories and make new ones at Samagam 2.0,” DUAA vice president Kavita Kasliwal said calling upon alumni to participate in the event in large numbers. The last date for registration is December 14.
