Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A two-wheeler rider was caught riding on the wrong side at Palasia Square during a traffic checking drive on Monday. Upon checking, the traffic police found that the bike had 44 pending ITMS challans and the rear number plate had also been tampered with. The vehicle was immediately seized by the police.

Subedar Syed Kazim Hussain Rizvi stopped the bike (registration number MP09 QE 7801) for violating traffic rules. When asked for documents and a driving licence, the rider, identified as Chayan Kumar Prajapat, failed to produce them. Further investigation based on the registration number revealed 44 challans issued against the bike, most of which had already been sent to court.

Shockingly, the rear number plate had also been altered to read MP09 OF 7801, indicating an attempt to dodge further detection by traffic cameras. The vehicle is registered under the name of Kamlesh Patel.

According to Subedar Rizvi, most of the traffic violations were recorded near the LIG area, with additional challans from Rasoma and Scheme No 78 sqaures.

The bike has been seized and Kamlesh Patel has been summoned with documents. Traffic police will also initiate proceedings to cancel the driving license due to repeated violations and number plate tampering.
