Indore (Madhya Pradesh): The city turned into a grand carnival of joy on Sunday as Team India clinched victory in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. Just a week before Holi, the city celebrated an early Diwali, with streets bursting into celebration the moment Ravindra Jadeja struck the winning four.

As soon as the victory was sealed, Rajwada Square became the heart of the festivities, as thousands of fans took to the streets. Victory rallies from Vijay Nagar, Scheme No 78, ChappanDukaan, and other parts of the city converged at Rajwada Chowk, where cricket fever reached its peak.

Crowds of passionate supporters danced to the rhythmic beats of dhol, burst firecrackers, and waved the tricolor high, chanting “India-India!” in a chorus of national pride.

City-wide excitement even before the match

The excitement wasn’t just limited to the post-match celebration. From the morning itself, Indore’s enthusiasm was electric—with hotels, rooftops, and public spaces setting up giant LED screens and projectors to screen the final showdown. Families, friends, and cricket lovers gathered in large numbers, soaking in the thrill of the match and hoping for an Indian triumph.

Victory turns city into sea of celebration

The moment India clinched the title, the streets of Indore turned into a sea of celebrations. Fans, young and old, danced with uncontainable joy, while processions of jubilant supporters marched towards Rajwada Square. The crackle of fireworks filled the air, and the beats of dhol resonated throughout the night, marking the city’s collective euphoria. “This victory feels like a pre-Holi gift for us!” said an elated KashishTankwal, a resident of Scheme No 78.

Bhopal Rejoices As India Clinches Champions Trophy

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The streets of Bhopal erupted with joy and celebrations on Sunday night as the Indian cricket team triumphed over New Zealand in the final of the 2025 Champions Trophy, held at the Dubai International Stadium.

Hundreds of cricket enthusiasts gathered in key locations like Minal, New Market, and several other parts of the city to witness the thrilling victory on big screens. The atmosphere was electric as fans celebrated the win by bursting crackers and dancing in the streets of the city.

Preparations for the celebrations began early on Sunday morning, with some festivities even kicking off before the final victory was secured, reflecting the anticipation and passion of the city’s cricket fans. In a unique show of devotion, a special Havan Pujan prayer was held at Sheetaldas Ki Bagiya for the success of the Indian team.

Devotees offered 11 coconuts at the feet of Lord Gajanan, with each coconut symbolizing a player of the Indian team. An additional coconut was offered in the name of the team as a whole, highlighting the city’s deep faith and expectations from the players.

Bhopal’s celebration was a testament to the unwavering support and enthusiasm the city has for its cricket team, marking another memorable chapter in India’s sporting legacy.
