IndiGo, the budget carrier in India has been named among 10 worst airlines in the world by a survey. The survey, 2024 AirHelp report, has ranked IndiGo 103rd in a list of 109 airlines. The survey has just awarded a score of 4.80 to IndiGo. The airline has reacted sharply on this.
The metrics on which AirHelp 2024 survey has ranked airlines include on-time performance, customer opinion, claim processing.
IndiGo got 6.6 for on-time performance, 7.5 for customer opinion and a mere 0.3 for claim processing.
Brussels Airlines, which has bagged the top place has scored 8.12 for on-time performance, 7.9 for customer opinion and 8.7 for claim processing.
For its analysis AirHelp has used data from January to October this year. Feedback from passengers across 54 countries has been taken.
AirHelp CEO Tomasz Pawliszyn told Bloomberg that AirHelp’s aim was to “encourage airlines to continuously listen to passenger feedback.”
He also said that AirHelp’s rankings are like a snapshot of performance of the airlines.
IndiGo rejects survey
IndiGo has rejected the AirHelp report saying that its services have consistently been punctual. The airline said that sample size of the survey (number of people surveyed) did not adequately include Indian passengers and this casts’doubt on its credibility’.
