News India Live, Digital Desk: India’s tough stand in unsc: On Friday, India strongly condemned Pakistan in the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) and deliberately accused it of targeting citizens and openly supporting terrorism.
Ambassador to India, permanent representative of India, to the United Nations, highlighted Pakistan’s alleged use of civic places as a shield for terrorist actions, which led to a serious picture of border aggression.
During the UNSC session focused on the safety of citizens in the armed struggle, Ambassador Harish explained in detail about the recent attacks by the Pakistani Army on Indian border villages. He said that more than 20 civilians were killed and more than 80 injured, especially religious places such as gurudwaras and temples, as a result of these intentional shelling. He insisted that such actions are “severe violations of international human norms”.
Harish said that these aggressive acts from Pakistan, including unmanned air -vehicles (UAVs) and frequent firing, were carried out due to the intervention of its forces from the terrorists. The intervention occurred after India’s “Operation Sindoor” earlier this month.
Harish said, “Pooja places including gurudwaras and temples as well as medical facilities were deliberately targeted.”
The Indian Ambassador referred to the 26/11 horrific Mumbai attacks and a recent massacre of tourists in Pahalgam in April 2025, recalling the long history of India to withstand Pakistan -sponsored terror attacks.
Harish also strongly criticized the frequent glorification of terrorists by Islamabad, recently pointed to examples where senior Pakistani government, police and military officials paid tribute to the funeral of the known militants. “We recently saw senior government, police and military officers paying tribute to the funeral of famous terrorists.”
He said, “The country that does not distinguish between terrorists and citizens, has no ability to speak about the safety of citizens.”
He issued a strict warning against any type of manipulation of civil security arguments to save the terrorists declared by the United Nations, and called for the international community to unite and sponsor and protect it “.
The ambassador said, “After such behavior, preaching in this institution is a severe hypocrisy. We should be clear. Security of citizens should not be used as an argument for the safety of terrorists nominated by the United Nations. The international community should come together on zero tolerance for terrorism and call it and call it.”
