Attributing India’s economic achievements to its democracy, demography, digital data and delivery, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that the success and empowerment of Democracy in a diverse country like India is a great achievement in itself. 

In his inaugural address at the Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit 2024 and the Rajasthan Global Business Expo at Jaipur Exhibition and Convention Centre (JECC) in Jaipur on Monday, PM Modi said that the progress that India has seen with the mantra of Perform, Transform and Reform, is visible in every field. 

“India’s success showcases the true power of democracy, demography, digital data and delivery. India has demonstrated how the democratization of digital technology is benefiting every sector and community”, said PM adding that India was able to rise to 11th largest economy in the world after 7 decades of Independence, but in just the last decade, India has risen to 5th largest economy in the world.

In the presence of business leaders like Gautam Adani, Kumar mangalam Birla, Anand Mahindra, Anil Agarwal and many others, PM Modi said that the welfare of humanity while being a democratic nation is at the core of the philosophy of India. It was the basic character of India. He lauded the people for exercising their democratic rights and ensuring a stable Government in the country. 

Talking about the youth power, Modi noted that in the last decade, India’s youth power has added another dimension of India’s tech and data power. Emphasizing the importance of technology and data in every sector in today’s world, Modi said, “This century is tech and data-driven.”

Inviting the investors across the globe to explore Rajasthan for investment, Modi said ‘Rajasthan is not only rising but reliable, receptive and knew how to refine itself with time.’

Hailing the BJP government in the state and praising CM Bhajan Lal Sharma for his performance, Modi said a responsive and reformist government elected by the people of Rajasthan was the new aspect added to the R-Factor of Rajasthan.

In his address, PM Modi showcased Rajasthan’s heritage, mineral reserves, tourist destinations, well-connected road and rail network, MSMEs and its potential of becoming a renewable energy hub. ‘Rajasthan had a lot to offer from roads to railways, from hospitality to handicrafts, from farms to forts,’ said PM Modi. 

Addressing the gathering Adani Cement MD Karan Adani said that his company will set up four new cement plants in Rajasthan and invest Rs 7.5 lakh crore in different sectors. 

Anil Agarwal of Vedanta group promised that Vedanta Resources Limited will invest Rs 1 lakh crore in Rajasthan.

Aditya Birla Group Chairman Kumarmangalam Birla said that in the coming years we will increase the investment to Rs 50 thousand crores in the state, which includes cement, renewable, telecom, and retail.

The Governor of Rajasthan Haribhau Kisanrao Bagde, Chief Minister of Rajasthan,  Bhajanlal Sharma, Ministers, MPs, MLAs, industry leaders and other dignitaries were present among other dignitaries at the event.
