A light-hearted prank turned into a hilarious viral moment when a woman decided to trick her Welsh husband into believing she spent a whopping £700 (₹77,143) on a glittery cat-shaped keychain.
Draped in a pastel saree and traditional jewellery, the Indian wife named Christina Carey began filming a video, speaking partly in Telugu while displaying and describing her new purchase on camera.
In the background, her husband, initially preoccupied with something on his laptop, paid her little attention—until she casually dropped a word about the massive spend. “I bought this keychain online for £700,” she said, prompting her husband to immediately turn toward her in disbelief.
“What?” he exclaimed, walking up to inspect the item.

The mood shifted instantly. He was upset and somewhat angry on her. “This is shit,” he said bluntly. “You paid £700 for it? I can buy a car for that. Oh my god. You gone mad. You lost your head,” he added, visibly disagreeing with her decision about this keychain.
The woman, barely holding back her laughter, continued in Telugu, detailing the keychain to her husband. She pointed out at the embellishment and tried playfully justifying its worth. But the man didn’t find that okay in any way.
In the video, she didn’t reveal the truth to the man. The clip concluded as a prank itself.
Video goes viral
Originally uploaded online last October, the video of this couple continues to go viral on Instagram. The clip has already received more than two lakh likes.
The video, posted online, quickly gained traction for the man’s candid reaction. Viewers praised the couple’s chemistry and couldn’t get enough of the husband’s unfiltered disbelief.
“Hahaha papam (Poor man)”, one commented. “But he still stayed calm and didn’t loose words”, wrote another.
