Changes in Railway General Ticket Rules: Every day in India, crores of people travel by train. Some of these people travel in reserved coaches. While some people travel in unreserved coaches. If you talk about the reserved coach, then first booking has to be done for them. These include coaches like third AC, second AC, first AC, AC chair car, sleeper and second seating. On the other hand, if we talk about the unreserved coach, then it has a general coach.

In this, you do not need to take tickets much in advance. As soon as you reach the railway station. You can travel in any train after some time after taking tickets. Every day millions of passengers travel in general coaches. But now the rules for passengers traveling on general tickets can be changed by the Railways. Know what will be the effect on the passengers traveling by taking general tickets.

Will there be any change in general tickets?

Just a few days ago, a stampede -like situation arose due to the huge crowd of passengers at the New Delhi railway station. 18 people lost their lives in this accident. Now this accident is being investigated. But in the meantime, the news is also coming that now the rules will be changed by the Railways for those traveling with general tickets.

Actually, it is being said that the Ministry of Railways is now considering changing the criteria of general ticket booking. Now the name of trains can also be recorded in the general ticket. Let me tell you that this is not the case at the moment. Right now the train can be changed in a minute with a general ticket. But once the name of the train is recorded on the ticket, the passenger will not be able to change the train.

General ticket validity?

This rule of Railways probably will not know that the general ticket issued by the Railways is valid. If the journey is not started within 3 hours of taking a general ticket, then that ticket becomes invalid. In such a situation, the passenger cannot travel on that ticket.
