India won the Champions Trophy title by defeating New Zealand. India defeated New Zealand by 4 wickets in Dubai. New Zealand scored 250 runs losing 7 wickets while batting. India achieved the target by losing 6 wickets in the 49th over. Captain Rohit Sharma scored 76, Shreyas Iyer scored 48 and KL Rahul scored 34 runs.
Kuldeep Yadav’s role was big in bowling. He sent Rachin Ravindra and Kane Williamson to the pavilion within 2 overs. Varun Chakraborty also took 2 wickets. Ravindra Jadeja took 1 wicket for just 30 runs in 10 overs. He hit the winning four in the 49th over.

Similarly, President Draupadi Murmu congratulated Team India for winning the Champions Trophy. He said, “India is the only team that has won the trophy three times.” Players, management and cooperative staff are eligible to create history. “I wish for a bright future of Indian cricket.”
CM Mann congratulated the Indian team for winning the title of Champions Trophy 2025. He wrote on social media handle X- “Chakde India… Rohit Sharma, Suresh Iyer and Rahul performed brilliantly during the match.” Many congratulations to the entire team. “You are the pride of the whole country.”
Congress MP Rahul Gandhi has also congratulated the team on victory. He said on the social media platform, “Each of you has filled the billions of hearts with pride.” Team India’s spectacular performance in the tournament, excellent personal performance and full dominance on the field, have really been inspiring.
