News India Live, Digital Desk: Pakistan is not deterred by its nefarious antics. Tension between the two countries has increased after the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. Meanwhile, the Pakistani Army has once again tried to spoil the atmosphere by firing along the Line of Control (LOC). For several consecutive days, Pakistani soldiers have been firing in various areas of Jammu and Kashmir without any provocation, which the Indian Army has strongly responded to.
On the night of 30 April to 1 May 2025, Pakistan’s army opened fire in Kupwara, Uri and Akhnoor sectors with small weapons. Soon after, the Indian Army also gave a message to Pakistan by giving a befitting and balanced reply that India will not tolerate any provocation.
Taking the firing incident seriously, India has warned Pakistan. The Director General of military operations of the two countries (DGMOs) interacted through the hotline, in which the Indian side strongly objected to the ceasefire violation by Pakistan. Although the conversation was part of the regular weekly dialogue, according to military sources, India clarified that violation of the ceasefire agreement is not acceptable under any circumstances.
Explain that in February 2021, India and Pakistan promised to maintain peace along the Line of Control and implement the 2003 ceasefire agreement. Despite this, Pakistan is constantly carrying out the incidents of firing.
Earlier, on the night of 29 and 30 April, there was a firing from Pakistan in Pargwal in Jammu district and Sunderbani and Nowshera sectors in Rajouri district, which was given by the Indian Army. Significantly, on 22 April, there has been continuous tension since the Pahalgam terror attack, in which 26 people lost their lives.
India has increased the pressure on Pakistan by suspending the Indus Water Agreement. In response, Pakistan is continuously showing its frustration by firing along the Line of Control. India and Pakistan have a total of 3,323 km long border, including the International Border, Line of Control and Siachen regions.
