The Waqf Board Amendment Bill will soon become a law. Waqf boards play an important role in Muslim countries around the world. Meanwhile, this dispute is hot in the country and another statement has come out. Governing member Mohammad Tauhidi, a governing member of the Global Imam Council (GIC), has given an important statement on the Waqf Board.

UAE Waqf Board

According to the information received, the UAE’s Waqf Board is a business organization. This organization is working legally in the society. This institution is recognized and respected in the community. This organization works to make transparent management of religious places. This organization takes care of the management of temples, churches and other places of worship not only for Muslims. This government organization takes care of all religious places. No religion is given special preference. This is a feature of the UAE’s Waqf Board.

‘We need a law for all’ – Tauhidi

According to Tauheedi, the Waqf Board should work with progressive, generous and human outlook. He clearly stated, “This law should not be different on the basis of religion, there should be a law for all,” he said that in some countries the Waqf Board is under the influence of extremists. This has made religious places a means of polarization. Tauhidi’s statement was not of administrative nature, but shows an ideological attitude.

India should adopt UAE’s Waqf model: Tauhidi

Tauheedi has also suggested adopting the UAE model in India. For this, equal rights, equal responsibilities and equal adherence to law are necessary for all religions. He emphasized that Waqf institutions need to play a wide role in serving society and ensuring transparent management.
