Dhaka: India and Pakistan had a ceasefire just hours before the US arbitration. Vikram Mistry, Secretary, Indian Ministry of External Affairs, announced a ceasefire agreement between India and Pakistan. But Pakistan opened fire in Rajouri violating the ceasefire. There is a blackout throughout Rajouri. Now it will be very important to see what India reacts to it. After the Pahalgam attack, there was strong tension between the two countries.
Bangladesh’s response
Meanwhile, the first response of India’s neighbor and friendly Bangladesh came to light after the ceasefire. Mohammad Yunus, Chief Advisor to the interim government of Bangladesh made this comment on the social media platform X. Yunus said in his post, “Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Pakistani Prime Minister Narendra Modi Shahbaz Sharif immediately agreed on the ceasefire. I wholeheartedly thank him for his attending the talks.” Yunus has also praised Donald Trump. He said, “I appreciate US President Donald Trump and Foreign Minister Marco Rubio for effective mediation between India and Pakistan.”

Pahalgam attack
On 22 April 2025, terrorists opened fire in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir, India. 28 innocent citizens were killed in this fierce attack. After this attack, India took an aggressive stand against terrorism and Pakistan who nurtured it. Meanwhile, India destroyed terrorist bases in Pakistan and Pakistan occupied Kashmir under Operation Sindoor. Pakistan was destroyed by this action. After this, Pakistan started invading India.
