He made this statement during a bilateral meeting held at the White House with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney. He further said that we are now going to reduce some numbers and will tell them that our country is open to business with them.
However, Trump did not give information about the items or products on which the tariff will be reduced to zero. This was also claimed in a media report before Trump’s statement.
It is noteworthy that Trump recently called India a tariff king. Last month, Trump had said that the talks with India on the tariff are going well and the agreement on the tariff issue with India will soon be done.
