Union Electronics and Information Technology Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said in the Rajya Sabha on Friday that India has made significant progress in the field of cyber security and has now joined the top 10 cyber safe countries in the world.
India’s growing ranking in cyber security
During the Question Hour, Vaishnav said that “Earlier India’s cyber security rankings lived between 30 and 40, but a strong cyber security system has been developed in recent years, which has now included India in the top 10 countries.” He also stated that with the help of this strong system, the G20 summit and Ramlala’s life in Ayodhya was stopped during the prestige of Ramlala.
Steps taken to deal with cyber crimes
The minister said that the government is active to strengthen cyber security on both legal and technical fronts.

Data security was strengthened by passing the Digital Personal Data Protection Act.

Strict provisions were added to cyber crimes by revising IT laws.

Provisions of strict punishment for cyber criminals were made in the Indian Code (BNS).

The Ministry of Home Affairs established the Cyber Crime Coordination Center (I4C) of India, giving good results of coordinated action.

He said that the government is actively strengthening cyber security to deal with this increasing challenge.

Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Jitin Prasad said that the export of fruits from India has increased by 47%. The government is adopting modern technology for the maintenance of fruits, quality improvement and insect-control.
