What was said about Yellow alert?
Former IPS Kiran Bedi said, “As stated just, we are in various districts of Delhi. They were drilling similar mocks. These included rescue exercises, first aid exercises, black out exercises and siren response exercises.” Under the Yellow Alert, everyone wore a yellow dress on which the civil defense was written. Under Yellow Alert, every civil security volunteer in Delhi will be seen in places like railway stations and bus stops.
‘No need to panic’
In a conversation with news agency ANI, he was asked what would happen on May 7 and why people are nervous. To this, he said, “There is nothing to worry about. But one thing is going to assure. This makes our confidence and collective faith strong. Today, citizens of India, especially young, healthy men and women, are coming together and helping each other.”
“This increases the strength of the people.”
Along with this, he said, “Today these classes are taking responsibility and are coming forward for each other. They are coming forward to tell us how we have to protect ourselves under different circumstances. So I believe that preparation is rescue… This situation has united us.”
Mock drill preparations are also going on in Delhi. Security has been increased in congested areas of Delhi such as Municipality Bazaar and Connaught Place. A team of police on Tuesday morning (May 6) took stock of the security arrangements at Connaught Place. Police also conducted intensive investigation of vehicles in East Delhi.
