Australia women’s cricket team defeated India in the fifth and last T20 match. Batting first, the Australian team scored 196 runs at the loss of four wickets. In response to this score, the Indian team was bundled out for 142 runs. Australia won the match by 54 runs. With this, Australia has won this series 4-1.

Deepti Sharma scored the most unbeaten 53 runs for India. No batsman of the Indian team could set foot on the wicket in front of this huge score and lost. Deepti faced 34 balls and hit eight fours and a six. Heather Graham took a hat-trick for Australia. He took four wickets.

Indian bowlers took early wickets but after that they did not get success. Harris and Gardner shared an unbeaten 129-run partnership in 62 balls to take Australia to its highest score in the series. Gardner scored 66 runs in 32 balls with the help of 11 fours and a six while Harris scored 64 runs in 35 balls which included six fours and four sixes.

Earlier, India won the toss and decided to bowl. Openers Beth Mooney (2) and Phoebe Litchfield (11) were dismissed cheaply. Captain Tahlia McGrath (26 runs in 26 balls) and Ellyse Perry (18 runs in 14 balls) shared a 38-run partnership for the third wicket.

Gardner and Harris add color

Shafali Verma broke this dangerous partnership when McGrath missed in an attempt to play forward and Richa Ghosh made a smart stumping. After one over, in an attempt to play Parry’s big shot, Harleen Deol was caught by Devika Vaidya. After this, Gardner and Harris did not give any chance to the Indian bowlers. He scored runs in the way he wanted.
