Indian team made historical record in Kanpur
In fact, on the fifth day of the second test match being played between India and Bangladesh, the Indian cricket team has created a new historical record. Team India achieved a feat which could not be done since 1877. Team India became the first team in world cricket to hit 90 sixes in a calendar year. Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal produced strong performances on the fourth day of the second Test against Bangladesh in Kanpur as India achieved a historic feat.
Rohit-Yashvi thrashed Bangladesh bowlers at Greenpark as India broke England’s record for most runs scored in a calendar year in Tests. The England team hit 89 sixes in 2022.
Also, since the beginning of the game in 1877, no team had been able to reach the figure of 90 sixes in a calendar year, but India created history by touching this figure. It has become the first team to do so, which has hit 90 sixes in a calendar year. India’s previous best six was of 87 runs which the team hit in 2021.
