IND vs AUS, Virat Kohli: Difficulties seem to be increasing for the Indian cricket team before the Test series on Australia tour. India’s star batsman Virat Kohli was scanned due to an unknown injury. He had this scan done in Perth before the Test series starting from 22 November. However, nothing is clear yet regarding Kohli’s injury.

According to Australian media, the Indian batsman went for a scan on November 14. However, Kohli was participating in the practice sessions of the Indian team for the last two days. He also took part in a match simulation on 15 November.

Other players also injured

This news of Kohli’s scanning has come at a time when the Indian team is going to play the first test without captain Rohit Sharma. He may stay away from the first test due to personal reasons. Earlier, young batsman Sarfaraz Khan was injured during practice. His elbow was injured. However that being said it fits perfectly. The team management has not scanned it. Apart from this, KL Rahul got injured during a match simulation on 15 November. He was also hit by a ball near his elbow. After this he had to leave the game.

Kohli’s worrying performance

At present Virat Kohli is going through poor performance. He could not score a single century in 2024. This year he has scored runs at a modest average of 22.72. He scored a half-century in the test series against New Zealand. But his performance in the tests played in Pune and Mumbai was not good. Against New Zealand, he could not even cross double figures in four out of six innings.

Kohli has been struggling in Test cricket since the beginning of 2020. During this period, he has scored runs at an average of 31.68 in 60 innings. He scored only two centuries.
