The fourth Test of the Border Gavaskar Trophy between India and Australia is being played in Melbourne. In this match, a big change has been seen in the playing eleven of Team India. Shubman Gill has been dropped from the playing eleven for the Melbourne Test. Which was very shocking for the fans. In place of Gill, Washington Sundar has been included in the playing eleven for this match. However, cricketer Sunil Gavaskar is also surprised by Gill’s ouster. His statement regarding this has also come out.

Sunil Gavaskar got Gill caught outside.

Melbourne’s pitch is considered favorable for spin, due to which captain Rohit has decided to include Washington Sundar in the playing eleven. After which former veteran cricketer of Team India, Sunil Gavaskar has raised questions on the playing eleven of Team India. Gavaskar says it is fine for Washington Sundar to play but keeping Gill out surprises me. I believe that Nitish Reddy could have been thrown out. Since Nitish bats at number 8 and also bowls about 10 overs, he cannot be considered the fourth bowler.

Gill played 2 matches

So far Gill has got a chance to play two matches in this series. Gill could not play in the Perth Test due to injury, after which the player made a comeback in the Pink Ball Test in Adelaide. Gill scored 31 runs in the first innings of this match and 28 runs in the second innings. Apart from this, only 1 run came off Gaba’s bat in the first innings of the test. Gill has so far scored only 60 runs in the two matches played in this series.
