IND vs AUS 4th Test Updates Day 5: The fourth Test between India and Australia under the Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) 2024-25 was played at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). Today (30 December) is the fifth and last day of this match. The Australian team had given India a target of 340 runs to win. Team India was all out for 155 runs in the second innings. With this, Australia has taken a 2-1 lead in the 5 test match series. Now only one test is left in the series. With this, it has become almost impossible for Team India to reach the final of the Test World Championship.

Team India’s defeat

While chasing the target, Team India was in trouble after losing 3 wickets one after the other. However, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rishabh Pant stopped Team India’s ruckus. Team India got its fourth blow in the form of Pant. Mitchell Marsh’s catch was caught by Rishabh Pant near the head. He was out after scoring 30 runs. After this Ravindra Jadeja came on the field and was caught out on the ball of Boland on 2 runs. After this, first innings star Nitish Reddy came on the field and was out after scoring 1 run on Lyon’s ball. That means, on the basis of the first innings, Australia got a lead of 105 runs.

Team India had a very bad start while chasing the target. Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal did not try to hit big shots on the new ball. The result was that India scored only 25 runs in 16 overs.
