Age limit
Under the recruitment of Income Tax Department, the age limit of the candidates for Stenographer Grade II and Tax Assistant posts has been set between 18 and 27 years. At the same time, the age limit of candidates for the post of multi-tasking staff (MTS) should be between 18 and 25 years. General/OBC candidates will be given a discount of 5 years in the age limit and 10 years to SC/ST candidates. Also, special discounts are applicable for players.
Eligibility
The educational qualification of candidates for recruitment in Income Tax Department has been determined according to different posts. For Stenographer Grade II, the candidate must have passed 12th standard from a recognized board. For the post of Tax Assistant, the candidate should have a degree or equivalent qualification from a recognized university. At the same time, it is mandatory for the candidate’s matriculation or equivalent examination for the post of multi-tasking staff (MTS).
Pay scale
On being admitted to the Income Tax Department, the selected candidates will get attractive salary. Candidates appointed to the posts of Stenographer Grade II and Tax Assistant will get salary ranging from ₹ 25,500 to ₹ 81,100, which will be according to the 7th CPC pay matrix under Level 4. At the same time, candidates selected for the post of Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) will get a salary ranging from ₹ 18,000 to ₹ 56,900, which has been determined according to the 7th CPC pay matrix under Level 1.
Selection process
Stenographer Grade II: Candidates have to pass the dictation test (80 words per minute in 10 minutes) and transcription test (English: 50 words per minute, Hindi: 65 words per minute).
Tax Assistant: Candidates will have to pass the data entry skill exam at 8000 kg of 8000 kg of delivery.
Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS): Selection will be done as per the recruitment rules, which will include document verification and medical fitness.
