Saharsa, September 11 (HS). A new ray of hope for development was born in Sahuria village under Saur Bazar block of the district. Jeevika Didi Pooja Kumari has added a new chapter towards rural self-reliance by inaugurating the CSP branch of North Bihar Gramin Bank. Pooja Kumari, who will now be known as ‘Jeevika Didi Bank Sakhi’ in this area, has not only empowered herself with her efforts, but has also become an inspiration for other women of the area. This initiative has infused a new energy and enthusiasm in the area.
Bank Sakhi Pooja Kumari will now provide banking services to the rural community and spread awareness about the importance of digital transactions. Through this CSP, not only the accounts of Jeevika Didi will be opened, but the facility of opening an account will also be available for common villagers. Along with this, easy loan facility will also be provided to the rural community, which will help them in meeting their small and big financial needs. YP Kundan Chaudhary told on this occasion that women in rural areas used to face many difficulties in accessing banking services. To solve this problem, a plan has been made to open a CSP branch in every Gram Panchayat through Jeevika.
This CSP branch opened today in Sahuria is a part of this scheme, which aims to bring banking services to the doorstep of the villagers. Under the leadership of Bank Sakhi Pooja Kumari, this CSP branch will make banking services accessible and simple for the people. Under this, account holders will not only be able to open their accounts, but will also be able to deposit and withdraw money, check balance, transfer funds, and avail other banking services. Apart from this, Bank Sakhi will make people aware about various methods of digital transactions, such as UPI, net banking, and mobile banking, so that they can use modern financial means.
Expanding the facility of digital transactions in the rural community will not only save time and money, but will also increase security and transparency. Bank Sakhi Jyoti Khushi believes that this initiative will promote financial inclusion in the area, so that all sections of the society can get the benefits of banking services.
