Varanasi: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath held a law and order review meeting in Varanasi on Wednesday. During this time he emphasized the need for permanent sound control measures for loudspeakers at religious places. At the same time, he instructed to impose strict restrictions on the DJs ringing in loud voice during Holi.

Special emphasis on security system

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath directed to install CCTV cameras in banks, financial institutions, commercial establishments and public places. He told the officials that no negligence in security would be tolerated.

In addition, he ordered strict action against smugglers, vehicle owners and corrupt policemen involved in this illegal activity.

Instructions to accelerate development projects

Expressing displeasure over the delay in government development projects, CM Yogi directed the officers to appoint nodal officers, conduct weekly inspections and submit regular progress reports. He clearly stated that negligence will not be tolerated and action will be taken against the guilty officers.

Tight stance on security system during Holi celebrations

The Chief Minister laid special emphasis on security and mob management during Holi, Holika Dahan and Shobha Yatra. He instructed the officials that –

  • Strict action should be taken against the top 10 criminals in every police station.
  • Police patrolling, pedestrian patrolling and presence of police booths should be increased to strengthen the security system.
  • Additional police forces should be deployed to run mob management smoothly.

Special attention to the safety of women

CM Yogi also instructed to effectively implement pink booths and other women safety measures. He also ordered the policemen to treat devotees and visitors respectful so that the devotees do not face any kind of trouble.

These strict instructions of the Chief Minister are being considered as important steps taken to strengthen law and order in the state and to prevent any disturbances during festivals.
