Varanasi, 23 November (HS). As soon as the results of Majhwan assembly by-election of Mirzapur district came on Saturday, Samajwadi Party was again branded as election chokers. BJP candidate Suchismita Maurya did not let the Samajwadi Party recover from the ghost of defeat by winning the election by 4922 votes. In the counting of votes, Suchismita Maurya got 77,737 votes. Dr. Jyoti Bind of SP got 72,815 votes, Deepak Tiwari of BSP got 34927 votes in third place. During the entire counting of votes, BJP’s Suchismita Maurya maintained the lead from the beginning till the end. Suchismita Maurya has won this seat for the second time. She had won this seat in the year 2017. Since 1952, Congress has won this seat maximum eight times, BSP five times and BJP three times till the by-election. SP has never been able to win this seat. His losing streak was not broken even in the by-elections. During the election campaign in the by-election, the aggressive election strategy of Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, especially raising the controversy going on in the Mutton Party at the office of BJP MP Vinod Kumar Bind, also did not work.
Actually, during the by-election, a mutton party was org.zed for the workers at the office of BJP’s Bhadohi MP Vinod Kumar Bind. There was an uproar at the party when gravy was served instead of pieces (boti). After this, there was heavy kicking, punching and throwing of chairs among the workers. Regarding this, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav had taunted the state government in the election rally. He had said that I did not know that mutton war had taken place here, but it has been recorded in history.
The reason behind raising this controversy in the elections was to gain political advantage by Akhilesh Yadav by directly targeting Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. But his election strategy was not as successful as the Lok Sabha elections. Even after playing an electoral explosive innings, ‘Luck’ did not favor Akhilesh Yadav and his team of strategists. In the last phase of the by-elections, Samajwadi Party could not overcome the ghost of Majhwa. Even in the 2022 assembly elections, SP remained at second position on this seat. Then Dr. Vinod Bind of Nishad Party had won from this seat. Dr. Vinod Bind got 103,235 votes in the election. Rohit Shukla of SP stood second. He got 69,648 votes. This seat became vacant after Dr. Vinod Bind became MP from Bhadohi. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s strategy and slogan ‘Batonge toh katoge’ remained dominant throughout the elections. The strategists of Samajwadi Party could not find a solution to this. BJP leader and former student union president of BHU’s northern body Hemant Singh said that the strategy of BJP leadership and the acceptance of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath came in handy in the elections. At the same time, Samajwadi Party’s past history and me.ngless aggressive strategy took it down. The special thing was that in the by-elections, the Chief Minister of the state Yogi Adityanath continued to play an aggressive innings on the election front. Hemant Singh says that the result of the by-election is also an indication of the upcoming assembly.
-SP again cried over election defeat
After the defeat in Majhwan Assembly by-election, Samajwadi Party has made serious allegations against BJP instead of accepting the mandate. Mirzapur SP District President Devi Chaudhary accused the police and administration of being biased during the by-elections. He made allegations of getting people to vote for BJP. He said that the police beat up a woman journalist during voting. From police station in-charge to constables and administration officers and employees, everyone had become active, we will answer BJP in a democratic manner.
He said that voting was conducted on the strength of the administration. BJP’s loot system looted democracy. This victory is not the victory of BJP, but the victory of the plunder system. He said that the public will give them a befitting reply in the coming 2027 assembly elections. During the by-election, the District President had accused three police station in-charges of Majhwan area of harassment. He had complained about this by sending a letter to the Chief Electoral Officer of Uttar Pradesh. He had demanded the removal of all three before voting. He said that despite the permission letter issued for the campaign vehicles, the vehicles are being stopped for hours by the policemen in the name of unnecessary checking.
Police station in-charges are pressurizing pro-SP voters to campaign and vote in favor of BJP. In case of refusal, threats of being implicated in a false case and being sent to jail are also being made. The model code of conduct is being openly violated here. Let us tell you that Devi Prasad Chaudhary has become the District President of Mirzapur for the second time from SP.
