Two matches are to be played today in IPL 2025. The first match of the day will clash between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). The match will begin at 3.30 pm Indian time at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. Both Kolkata and Lucknow have played four matches this season and won two. In this match, KKR will be captained by Ajinkya Rahane while Rishabh Pant will command the Lucknow team.

Varun and Naren’s spin will start again!

The match between Kolkata and Lucknow was to be held on 6 April, but the date of this match was changed due to festivals. KKR performed brilliantly in the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). In that match, Venkatesh Iyer, Angkrish Raghuvanshi, Ajinkya Rahane and Rinku Singh batted brilliantly.

Quinton de Kock and Andre Russell failed against Sunrisers but now they would like to return to form. Fast bowlers Vaibhav Arora and Harshit Rana will be expected to start a great start once again. Moin Ali, Sunil Naren and Varun Chakraborty will also be eager to play their magic on a slow pitch.

Lucknow Super Giants also have good spin options as Digvesh Singh Rathi, Ravi Bishnoi and M. Siddharth. The fast bowling unit consists of bowlers like Shardul Thakur, Avesh Khan and Akash Deep. Nicholas Puran and Mitchell Marsh have batted brilliantly for LSG. Along with this, Eden Markram, David Miller, Ayush Badoni and Abdul Samad have the ability to demolish any attack. However, the form of captain Rishabh Pant is a matter of concern. Pant will be desperate to return to the form.

In the history of the Indian Premier League, 5 matches have been played between Kolkata Knight Riders and Lucknow Super Giants so far. During this, Lucknow Super Giants won 3 matches while Kolkata Knight Riders won 2 matches. In the last season, two matches were played between the two teams, in which Kolkata Knight Riders won.

Possible playing XI of Kolkata Knight Riders: Quinton de Kock (wicketkeeper), Sunil Naren, Angkrish Raghuvanshi, Ajinkya Rahane (captain), Venkatesh Iyer, Rinku Singh, Ramandeep Singh, Andre Russell, Moin Ali, Varun Chakraborty, Harshit Rana.

Possible playing XI of Lucknow Super Giants: Michelle Marsh, Eden Markram, Nicholas Puran, Rishabh Pant (Captain/Wicketkeeper), Ayush Badoni, David Miller, Abdul Samad, Ravi Bishnoi, Digvesh Singh Rathi, Avesh Khan, Shardul Thakur.

The second match of the day will be played between Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK). The match will start at 7.30 pm Indian time at Maharaja Yadavinder Singh International Cricket Stadium, New Chandigarh (Mullanpur). In this match, Punjab Kings will captain Shreyas Iyer. CSK will be led by Ruturaj Gaikwad. Both Punjab Kings and Chennai Super Kings have won two matches each in the current season. However, Punjab has played only three matches, while the Chennai team has played four matches.

Chasing the target in this season, CSK has completed the hat -trick of defeat. Whereas Punjab Kings had to face defeat against Rajasthan Royals (RR) in their last match. However, along with the current form, Shreyas Iyer’s team also looks balanced than CSK. Dhoni’s presence in the last overs was proving to be a boon for ‘Yellow Brigade’, but Mahi is seen losing her glow in this season. However, Dhoni still rules the hearts of his fans and whenever he lands on the field, there is an atmosphere of happiness.

Opposition teams try to score above 180, batting first against CSK, knowing that it is difficult for the Chennai team to chase runs. Chennai’s team depends on Shivam Dubey during the run chase, but their performance in this season has not been as good. The top order of CSK is also not able to perform well, while the team players are not able to score fast in the middle overs. This was also seen in the match against Delhi.
