Bengaluru: The residents of the city are set to experience light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorms from April 2 to April 4. Meanwhile, the temperature is also likely to decrease by 3 degrees Celsius to 4 degrees Celsius in the upcoming days.
The weather department said that rainfall is expected in Karnataka due to the influence of a cyclonic circulation, which is currently active in the Bay of Bengal and situated over the Southwest Bay off the Tamil Nadu coast.
The minimum and maximum temperatures are expected to range from 21 degrees Celsius in the morning to 32 degrees Celsius in the afternoon. The city witnessed the Sunrise at 06:17 AM and the Sun is expected to set at 06:31 PM. The humidity is expected to be around 54, and the wind is predicted to blow from the east at 14 km/h.
Rainfall is predicted in these regions
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), widespread scattered showers are likely to occur in these regions, including Uttara Kannada, Udupi, Dakshina Kannada, Shivamogga, Hassan, Chikkamagluru, Kodagu, Mysuru, Haveri, Dharwad, Belagavi, Chamarajanagar, and Gadag districts. The weather department also issued a yellow alert for April 3 and 4. Hailstorms are very likely to occur in isolated places in Karnataka in the coming days.
KSNDMC shared a weather report
The Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitering Centre (KSNDMC) shared a weather report for next five days on X and wrote, “1st to 3rd April over the state with cloudy weather, thunder, lightning & squall with wind speed reaching 40-50 kmph, scattered moderate rain and heavy rain over northern hinterland.”

The IMD predicts partly cloudy skies for Wednesday, April 2, 2025. The minimum and maximum temperatures are expected to be around 22 degrees Celsius and 31 degrees Celsius, respectively.
