Bengaluru: The city has been experiencing continuous rainfall and a drop in temperatures due to the impact of Cyclone Fengal, which has been affecting it since Sunday. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the city is set to experience light rainfall on Friday, December 6, 2024. The minimum and maximum temperatures are likely to hover around 19 degrees Celsius and 28 degrees Celsius.
The city witnessed the Sunrise at 06:29 am and the city’s Sunset is scheduled to set at 5:53 The humidity level is expected to range around 64 per cent which is lower than the humidity level on Thursday. Today, the wind is expected to blow steadily from the East at a speed of 11 km/h and the Air Quality Index (AQI) is expected to stand at 56 which indicates good air quality in the city and it’s adjoining areas.

The IMD has predicted light showers with cloudy skies, which are likely to remain the same throughout the day. Lightning and thunderstorms are likely to occur with rainfall. With persistent rainfall and humidity, the residents of the city are advised to carry umbrellas while stepping out. Today, scattered moderate rain with thunderstorms is expected in the North Interior of Karnataka and the coastal regions of the state. Meanwhile, scattered light rainfall is expected in the South Interior Karnataka.

According to the IMD, Cyclone Fengal will continue to show its impact until December 7, which is why light drizzle is predicted for Saturday. The minimum and maximum temperatures are expected to range between 19 degrees Celsius and 28 degrees Celsius.
