The IMC Chamber of Commerce and Industry reaffirmed its enduring commitment to sustainability, climate resilience, and responsible stewardship of natural resources through a series of impactful initiatives aimed at combating global warming and fostering environmental consciousness among industries and civil society. To mark World Earth Day, IMC has actively spearheaded a wide array of sustainability-centric engagements, including awareness campaigns, Sustainability Conclave and Green Product Exhibition, promoting eco-conscious innovations across industries and experts on green energy transitions, water harvesting, circular economy, and decarbonisation.
A key highlight of IMC’s green movement this year has been the creation of a Miyawaki-style urban forest within the historic Raj Bhavan premises in Mumbai. This project symbolizes IMC’s deep-rooted commitment to ecosystem restoration and urban greening. This initiative earned IMC a Certificate of Appreciation from EarthDay.org, recognizing its efforts toward reforestation and carbon sequestration.
