During a recent podcast with Ultra Edge, Pakistan cricketer Imam-Ul-Haq shared anecdotes about Indian skipper Rohit Sharma’s forgetful nature. Imam recalled how Rohit frequently misplaces his belongings and often struggles to remember where he left them.
Imam said, ‘saari cheeje dhunta hai kaha apni belt rakhi thi, kaha apne shoes rakhe the, kisko message kiya tha, kisko phone kiya tha. Oh My God woh ek alag level ki personality hai. Woh pura bhul jaata hai apni gloves kaha rakhi hai, apni bat kaha rakhi hai’.
(“He’s on another level! Rohit bhai is always looking for something—his belt, shoes, gloves, or even his bat. He’ll be like, ‘Where did I leave my belt? Who did I text? Where is my phone?’ It’s hilarious to watch him. He even scolds himself sometimes for being so forgetful!”)
Imam also shared the incident from the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 captain’s photoshoot. Imam says, Babar Azam had to return Rohit’s newly bought iPhone and AirPods, which he had left behind during a flight.
‘Babar mujhe ek kissa bata raha tha ki hum photoshoot ke waqt plane main the tab hum (Babar) and Rohit baat kar rahe the tab usne Iphone plane main choda, phir airpods chode, har dusre minute pe woh apne ko hi galli dega ki yaar kya hai yaar, main uska phone do dafa utha kar diya aur bola Rohit Bhai ye lo, kabhi uske manager ka call aata hai ki uske airpods chut gaye, woh bahut bhulta hai cheeje.’
(“Babar told me, during the photoshoot trip, Rohit forgot his iPhone on the plane and later misplaced his AirPods too. Babar said, ‘I picked up his phone twice and gave it back to him. He even got calls from his manager saying his AirPods were missing. Rohit bhai forgets things all the time!’”)
This amusing side of Rohit Sharma is no secret, as the cricketer himself has admitted to being absent-minded on several occasions.
