The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi – Abu Dhabi (IITD-AD) has announced the start of admissions for its second batch of undergraduate programs for the academic year 2025-26.
IIT Delhi – Abu Dhabi has introduced a Ph.D. program in Energy and Sustainability, two B.Tech. programs in Computer Science and Engineering and Energy Engineering, respectively, and an M. Tech. program in Energy Transition and Sustainability since its founding in January 2024.
IIT Delhi-Abu Dhabi will offer three Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech.) degrees for the forthcoming academic year (2025–26), which will start in August 2025: Chemical Engineering, Energy Science and Engineering, and Computer Science and Engineering. These four-year programs give students the skills and knowledge they need to succeed as future leaders in their areas while also meeting the changing demands of the global technological industry.
Entrance Exams for Admissions
CAET 2025 and JEE (Advanced) 2025 are the primary entrance exams for admissions.
CAET 2025 schedule
Session 1: February 16, 2025
Session 2: April 13, 2025
Candidates can appear in both sessions, with the highest score considered for the next round of selection.
CAET exam details
The three-hour, pen-and-paper CAET 2025 exam will be administered in English and consist of 60 questions that are split evenly between maths, physics, and chemistry. The CAET 2025 test centres will be situated in New Delhi, India, and Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. Depending on the number of applications received, more locations in various cities and nations might be made available for Session 2.
Eligibility criteria:
Two-thirds of seats will be allocated through CAET 2025.
One-third of seats will be allocated through JEE (Advanced) 2025.
Open to UAE nationals and international students, including:
Indian expatriates who have completed high school and five previous years of education in the UAE.
Candidates can choose to apply for one or both sessions, and those who present in both will be given preference based on their higher score. The top performers in CAET Session 1 will receive “early admission” to a section of the seats. Following the Session 2 exam, the final seat distribution will be determined by the combined merit list and the candidates’ preferred subjects.
