IIT Delhi’s Abu Dhabi campus has seen a 400% increase in student enrollment in its inaugural year of operation. The campus has seen 80 students from across the globe in its second academic year, an increase from 20 students in its first year.
The organisation provides state-of-the-art energy, sustainability, and artificial intelligence courses in collaboration with major UAE universities, including Khalifa University and Mohamed Bin Zayed University. These have drawn students with diverse backgrounds as 13 Emirati students enrolled in the bachelor’s program while 17 enrolled in the master’s program.
IIT Delhi’s Abu Dhabi campus not only enhanced academic superiority but also bolstered the Indo-UAE relationship. The collaboration is geared towards providing ease to IIT aspirants within India and the Middle East, achieve UAE’s strategic interests through academic courses and research endeavors, and advance research and exchange through collaborations with other higher learning institutions.
The campus was launched with the Indo-Emirati government’s aim of maximising higher educational opportunities among the students from the two nations.
