When you download an app from the Play Store and start using it, do you check if that app provides the facility to reconstruct your data easily?

In simple words, we use Google Photos app and upload a lot of our pictures in it, then if our mind changes for some reason, we can easily download all our photos.

We get backup photo of our photos only in the file format, so we can easily use them outside the Google Photo app as per our will.

But this does not happen in many services.

For example, when we add many tasks to a work list, we cannot easily bring them back. If we want to continue using it then we have to use the same app or service. More and more, we get an open list of tasks that we have added to the app, but we do not get any additional details in those tasks!

Like two-do list apps, this problem also occurs in many notes taking apps. Once we add different types of notes to it, we cannot recover them easily. For example, if we add various notes to the Samsung Notes app and then try to recover them, they are found only in the Samsung notes format. We cannot open such notes in programs like Word or Notepad. The best thing is that we get our notes back in PDF format, but the possibility of their reuse is very limited.

Therefore, whenever you start using a new app or service, it is a good idea to put the habit of checking whether that app will easily give your data back.
