Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, who is known for his impeccable style, said on Saturday that he does not include caste and religion in public dialogues. He said that he believes that social service should be paramount. Referring to his election journey, Gadkari said in clear terms, “Whatever you do, I will kick him.” He also said that he adopted this principle without fear that he can lose elections or lose a ministerial position.
Gadkari was speaking at the convocation of Nanmuda Institute. He said, “We never discriminate on the basis of caste or religion. Even though there is a lot of discussion in politics, I have decided that I will be adamant on my principles and will not think who will vote for me. ” He further said that his friends had advised him not to make such statements, but he made it the basic principle of his life.
If Muslims become more IAS-PS, it will be good for society
Gadkari shared his old experiences and said that when he was an MLC, he had allowed Anjuman-e-Islam Institute (Nagpur) Engineering College, as he felt that it was more needed. He said, “If more engineers, IPS and IAS officers than the Muslim community, then there will be overall development of the society.” Giving the example of former President Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, he said that education is the true power, which can change life and communities.
Gadkari further said, “Today thousands of students have become engineers under Anjuman-e-Islam Institute. If they do not get the opportunity for education, it would not have been possible. This is the real strength of education, which can carry forward both a person and society. “
