ICSI-WIRC successfully organised a highly informative Mega Career Counselling Session titled “Company Secretary Course: Pathways to Professional Success on February 20, 2025 for under graduate students at Pillai HOC College of Arts, Science & Commerce, Rasayani. The session was conducted by Vimala Jogadia, Senior Executive Assistant, ICSI-WIRC, who shared valuable insights into the roles, responsibilities, and professional scope of Company Secretaries in today’s corporate world. Session was inaugurated in the august presence of Dr. Lata K Menon, Principal, Binit Kumar, Vice Principal, Paulami Rao, Asst. Professor, Sheetal Patariya, Asst. Professor and Remya Madan Gopal, Asst. Professor of the Pillai HOC College of Arts, Science & Commerce, Rasayani.
The event was jointly organized by the College’s *Career Counselling Cell in association with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC)*. Around 700 students and faculty members attended the session, benefiting from Jogadia’s in-depth explanation of the ICSI (Institute of Company Secretaries of India) curriculum, examination pattern, and the strategic importance of Company Secretaries in maintaining legal and regulatory compliance.
In her address, Jogadia emphasized the broad career prospects for aspiring Company Secretaries, highlighting how this professional qualification opens doors to senior managerial and advisory roles across diverse industries. The session also included an interactive Q&A segment, during which students eagerly posed questions about the academic prerequisites, training requirements, and emerging trends in the corporate governance landscape.
This enlightening event was appreciated by the College and have promised to look forward to continued collaboration with WIRC of ICSI to create more such enriching learning opportunities for their students.
