New Delhi: ICC has announced its best T20 team for the year 2024. Four players from India have got a place in this team, but the shocking thing is that Virat Kohli, who played a brilliant half -century innings in the final of the T20 World Cup 2024, was not included. The captaincy of the team has been handed over to Rohit Sharma, who performed well in the T20 World Cup last year.
Rohit Sharma’s great performance
Rohit Sharma scored 378 runs in 11 T20 matches in 2024, with his strike rate 160.16 and average 42. He scored three half -centuries in the World Cup. After winning the World Cup, both Rohit and Virat retired from T20 format.
Indian players dominate
The team also includes India’s Jasprit Bumra, Arshdeep Singh and Hardik Pandya. Bumra took 15 wickets in eight matches in 2024, while Arshdeep Singh proved his capacity with 36 wickets in 18 matches. Hardik Pandya scored 352 runs in 17 matches as an all -rounder and took 16 wickets.
Players from other countries also get space
Apart from India, this team includes players from Australia, England, Pakistan, West Indies, Afghanistan, Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka. No New Zealand player could make a place in this team.
ICC T20 Team of the Year 2024:

This selection has been done in 2024 keeping in mind the performance of the players. It is a matter of pride for Indian cricket fans that four Indian players got a place in the team, but the absence of Virat Kohli remains a matter of discussion.
