New Delhi : India will host the World Cup 2023 in October-November this year. The 10 teams participating in this tournament have been decided. In the ICC World Cup 2023, the Netherlands secured the last spot after defeating Scotland in the qualifiers. The Sri Lankan team had already confirmed its place.
In the World Cup 2023, the Indian team has to play matches against Sri Lanka and Netherlands. On October 5, the inaugural match of the World Cup 2023 will be played between England and New Zealand at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The Indian team will start its campaign by playing a match against Australia on 8 October.
The Indian team has to play matches against the qualifiers on 2 and 11 November. After the confirmation of Netherlands and Sri Lanka, it has been decided that when, where and against whom the Indian team will play. The Indian team will play a match against Sri Lanka on 2 November at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. This is the same ground where the 2011 World Cup final was played.
The Indian team will play a match against the Netherlands on November 11 at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. This will also be the last match of the Indian team in the group stage. This year the Indian team is being considered as a strong contender for the title. It is expected that the Indian team will be able to end the 10-year drought of the ICC title.
