ICC has taken strict action against former RCB player and West Indies fast bowler Alzarri Joseph on December 10. Alzarri Joseph has been found guilty of breaching the Level 1 code of conduct in the first ODI against Bangladesh. ICC has taken strict action and imposed a fine of 25 percent of the match fee on Joseph.

Know what was the reason?

Bangladesh is currently on West Indies tour, where a 3-match ODI series is being played. Before the first ODI, Joseph argued with the fourth umpire and used abusive language. The umpire asked Joseph not to enter the field wearing spiked shoes. But instead of listening to the umpire, Joseph started arguing with him.

Joseph later admitted his mistake and accepted the fine. The ICC deemed Joseph’s conduct a breach of Article 2.3 of the Code of Conduct and reduced his match fee by 25 percent. Since this was the first time Joseph had committed such an offense in the last 24 months, one demerit point was also added to his account.

Joseph’s brilliant performance

Joseph’s performance in the Test series against Bangladesh was excellent. He took 5 wickets in the first test match. Apart from this, he took 4 wickets in the second match. This player had taken 2 wickets in the first ODI match.

Joseph was included by RCB in its team for IPL 2024. He took 1 wicket in 3 matches. No franchise has paid any price for the fast bowler in the IPL 2025 auction. It remained unsold.

such was the career

Joseph has so far taken 111 wickets in 37 test matches for West Indies. Apart from this, this player has made 121 batsmen his victims in 74 ODI matches. He has taken 52 wickets in 35 T-20 matches. 28-year-old Joseph is currently taking part in the ongoing ODI series against Bangladesh.
