The ICC has given great honor by declaring Indian star batsman Shreyas Iyer as the best player of the month of March. He won this honor by defeating Rachin Ravindra and Jacob Dafi of New Zealand. Iyer has been rewarded with his impressive performance in the Champions Trophy held in Pakistan and Dubai last month. Iyer scored 243 runs in the tournament and was the player scoring the most runs for India. Based on this performance, Iyer has made it to the special list.

 

With this, Shreyas has become the third Indian player to win the Player of the Month award more than once. Prior to him, Shubman Gill and Jaspreet Bumrah have also won the award more than once. Bumrah has won the award twice, while Gill has won the honor three times.
