The atmosphere between India and Pakistan has become heated regarding the Champions Trophy 2025. India has refused to play Champions Trophy in Pakistan. BCCI has made it clear that they will not tour Pakistan under any circumstances. After this, PCB and ICC are asking the reason behind this. BCCI has already cited security reasons. Meanwhile, PCB org.zed the Champions Trophy tour. In this tour, three cities of PoK were to be visited for the Champions Trophy. Now ICC has given a big blow to PCB regarding this.

ICC gave a blow to PCB

ICC has told PCB that the Champions Trophy will not go to any controversial venue. It is noteworthy that the Champions Trophy reached Islamabad on 14 November. After this, the trophy was to be taken across Pakistan from 16 November to 24 November. PCB gave this information on social media. Meanwhile, the PCB said that the Champions Trophy will move to places like Skardu, Muri, Hunza and Muzaffarabad.

 

 

Only one of these is part of Pakistan. While the other three places (Skardu, Hunza and Muzaffarabad) fall in PoK. These three posts were selected by the PCB itself. BCCI’s stand has been strengthened by this action of PCB. All eyes are on BCCI at this time. No statement has come from BBCCI regarding this yet.

Uproar over Champions Trophy

There has been a lot of uproar so far regarding the Champions Trophy. Team India will not go to Pakistan for the tournament. There is a huge uproar in the PCB regarding this. The tournament will be org.zed from 19 February to 9 March next year. But the schedule has not been announced yet. However, the Champions Trophy has already reached Pakistan.

What options are left for the Champions Trophy?

If Team India does not go to Pakistan for the tournament then they have only two options left. Its best option could be a hybrid model. Team India should play its matches at neutral venues and the remaining matches should be held in Pakistan. If the Pakistan Cricket Board does not accept this then it is left with only one option. This means that when the Champions Trophy is shifted, the Pakistan team should play at that venue. However, no official decision has been taken yet in this regard.
