David Miller raised questions on the schedule of Champions Trophy
David Miller is angry that the South African team had to go to Dubai before the semi -finals and then return to Lahore.
Miller said-
“It was not an ideal situation for us at all. First we had to fly to Dubai, then had to return to Lahore a few hours later. It was not easy. “
How did the schedule put South Africa in trouble?
South Africa and Australia had to fly to Dubai as soon as the group stage was over.
The last group match of India and New Zealand was left, which was to be decided who would top the group.
India defeated New Zealand, leading to Australia to play semi -finals against India and South Africa returned to Lahore.
India refused to play in Pakistan for security reasons, so all their matches were played in Dubai.
Miller’s anger:
“We had to take a flight of one hour and 40 minutes, which was not an ideal situation.”
“We had to travel after the match, then reached Dubai at 4 pm and had to return at 7:30 am.”
According to Miller, the players did not get enough rest due to this schedule, which affected the team’s performance.
