The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has announced the start of its first advanced flagship residential program, which will run from January 7 to January 11. Advanced Flagship Program Title: The first-of-its-kind ICAI program, Empowering Trusted Advisors – Unlocking the Potential of Family Enterprises (Residential), will take place at the ICAI Centre of Excellence in Hyderabad under the direction of Nupur Pavan Bang, the director-cum-dean of the Centre.
The course will focus on important aspects of family businesses, including succession planning, governance, handling conflict, and sustainable growth tactics.
Day-wise structure:
Day 1: Understanding family businesses
Day 2: Nurturing the next generation and succession planning
Day 3: Establishing robust family governance
Day 4: Managing conflicts in family businesses
Day 5: Growth strategies, fundraising, and ownership structuring
Application process and fees:
The program is open to 50 participants on a first-come, first-served basis. Interested candidates can apply through the ICAI website, where their eligibility will be evaluated by ICAI experts. Future batches will be announced based on the evaluation of the initial cohort.
Registration charges for the course are Rs 50,000 including 18% GST and accommodates along with meals. It includes accommodation within the residential complex of the Hyderabad campus, and accommodation.
Expansion of centre
This programme marks the intent of ICAI for excellence in professional education. Presently, ICAI has established three centers of excellence in Hyderabad, Jaipur, and Kolkata. During the next three years, it plans to install eight such centres across the country.
To further support members and students, ICAI has launched CA-GPT, an AI-powered application. This tool enables users to access ICAI’s extensive database, including books, question banks, study materials, and business insights, ensuring a more efficient learning experience.
