Huge uproar in Jammu and Kashmir Assembly

On Monday (7 April), the proposal related to the Waqf Act was rejected in the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly. Assembly Speaker Abdul Rahim Rathar rejected the proposal to postpon the Question Hour for discussion on Waqf. This proposal was made by National Conference MLAs Nazir Gureji and Tanveer Sadiq. After this there was a huge uproar. The ruckus increased so much that the proceedings of the House had to be postponed twice. There was also a scuffle between Congress and BJP MLAs. For the third time, the Speaker adjourned the proceedings for the day.
