Saif Ali Khan attack: Akash Kanaujia, who was detained in the fort of Chhattisgarh as a suspect in the attack on Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan, has expressed his grief. He has also demanded justice. According to reports, acting on the information of the Mumbai Police, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) detained 31-year-old Akash Kanaujia from Mumbai Lokmanya Tilak Terminus-Kolkata Shalimar Dnyaneshwari Express on 18 January. On the morning of January 19, the Mumbai Police arrested Bangladeshi citizen Shariful Islam from the neighboring area of Thane, after which Durg RPF released Akash Kanaujia.
‘A mistake ruined my life’
Speaking to the media, Akash Kanaujia said, “When the media started showing my photos and claimed that I am the main suspect in the matter, my family was shocked and started crying. A mistake by the Mumbai Police ruined my life. They failed. ” The thing to note is that I had mustache and the person seen in CCTV footage in the actor’s house did not have mustache. ”
He claimed, ‘After the incident, I got a call from the police and he asked me where I am. When I told them that I am at home, the phone was disconnected. I was going to meet my future bride. When I was detained in the fort and then taken to Raipur. The Mumbai police team also beat me up.
