After the arrest, the authorities raided their residence in Bangalore, from where Rs 1.5 crore was recovered. Jewelry worth Rs 2.06 crore and Rs. Cash worth Rs 2.67 crore was recovered. Its purpose was to present him in court with seized money and jewelery. The court sent him to judicial custody for 14 days. During interrogation, he claimed that he was being blackmailed for smuggling. He has scared and smuggled. Police also detained a constable named Basavaraj along with Ranya.
