Start of dispute
The case came to light when 26 -year -old Ashley St. Claire claimed in February 2025 that she would ‘give birth to Musk’s baby in September 2024’. St. Clare announced on X that “I did not want to make it public first for my child’s privacy and safety, but I had to do so due to pressure from tabloid media.” He then filed a case against Musk in the New York Supreme Court, seeking the only custody and paternity test of the child.
Musk’s answer
Musk made his first public comment on the matter on Monday, 31 March. In a post on X, he wrote, ‘I don’t know whether the child is mine or not, but I am not against it.’ No court order is required for this. “Without knowing anything, I gave Ashley $ 2.5 million and sending him $ 500,000 every year.” The statement came at a time when St. Claire claimed that “Musk reduced the payment of my children by 60%, forcing me to sell my Tesla car.”
Ashley reacted to Musk’s recent statement. He wrote, ‘Elon, I asked you to confirm paternity through a test before our child’s birth. You refused You were not sending me money. You were sending assistance to your child as required, then you stopped a large part of it to maintain control and punish him for disobedience, but really you were only punishing your son. It is irony that your final attempt in court was to silence me, while you are spreading derogatory messages about me and our child using your social media channels. All this is about maintaining your control and everyone can see it. America needs some understanding of you, you are a very derogatory man. ‘
St. Clair’s party
Earlier, St. Clare’s lawyer Karen Rosanthal said last month that Musk had taken financial revenge from the child and has drastically cut the assistance amount. The step was taken when St. Clare approached the court after a privately failed to resolve the case with Musk. St. Clare has recently sold its Tesla model S car and claimed that he took this step to meet the child’s expenses. He accused Musk of being retaliated and said, “When women speak, this is their way.”
Court hearing
The New York Supreme Court has ordered Musk to appear in court on May 29, 2025, where Jeffrey Jeffrey H. Parlman will hear the case. St. Claire claimed that Musk had met only three times with his son, who was mentioned as RSC in the court documents and had no role in his upbringing. On the other hand, Musk described St. Clare’s claim as false and said, “I have always been generous in supporting my child.”
It is believed that this child is the 13th child of Musk. Musk already has 12 children from three other women: his ex -wife Justin Wilson, singer Grims and Nuralink Executive Sobhan Gillis. Their relationship with St. Clare was allegedly began in May 2023 and the news of pregnancy came to light in January 2024.
