US President Donald: Trump said that he is ready to reduce the tariffs being imposed on China in future, as the current taxes have almost stalled trade between the world’s two largest economies.

Currently the tariff on imports on imports from China by the Trump administration has reached 145%, while in response, China has imposed a tariff of up to 125% on US products. These decisions have shook the global markets and are at risk of increasing prices of everything from manufacturing equipment to cheap goods used by American consumers such as clothes and toys.

Trump said in NBC’s ‘Meat the Press’ show, “Somebody has to reduce these charges, because without them you cannot do business with them, when they want to do business.”

Trump praised some recent statements of China and described him as positive, but reiterated that any agreement between the US and China should be fair.
