Veteran actor Dharmendra recently underwent eye surgery. On Tuesday, the 89-year-old actor was seen leaving a hospital in Mumbai with an eye bandage on his left eye. As the paparazzi captured the moment, the 89-year-old actor interacted with them and revealed, “I am strong.”

In the video, Dharmendra was heard saying, “Abhi bhi Dharmendra mein bohot dum hai. Abhi bhi jaan rakhta hoon. Meri aankh eye graft (corneal transplantation) ho gayi hai. I am strong.” Dressed in a printed shirt, black trousers, and a black hat, he expressed gratitude to his fans, saying, “Love you, my audience and my fans.”

On the work front, Dharmendra was last seen in Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, which starred Kriti Sanon and Shahid Kapoor in the lead, and was a commercial success at the box office, earning 133.64 crore.

He also starred in Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani alongside Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Shabana Azmi, Tota Roy Chowdhury, Churni Ganguly, Aamir Bashir, and Kshitee Jog, among others.

Dharmendra grabbed eyeballs for his kissing scene with Shabana, it was also one of the most-discussed aspects in the film. Earlier, at the success party of RARKPK, the actor talked about the scene and told ANI, “Bahut mazaa aaya (It was fun). I am receiving messages from the people and I said, ‘Ye to mere daaye haath ka kaam hai kuch baaye haath se karvana ho vo bhi karva lo.”

He said, “Captain accha ho to team khub khelti hai (If the captain is good, the team is bound to play well. When I heard the story, I felt this is something new. I enjoyed every bit of working with this unit. Now, the ‘charcha’ is not just in the city but all over the world about Rocky and Rani (hinting about the sequence).”
