Waqf Amendment Bill 2025: Congress leader and Saharanpur MP Imran Masood has objected to the provision of appointment of non -Muslim members in the proposed Central Waqf Parishad in the Waqf Amendment Bill. He was angry and said, “I am a descendant of Ramji.” Include me in the Ram Mandir Trust.

Minority Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju, while introducing the Waqf Amendment Bill in the Lok Sabha today, said that the Waqf Board is not related to the religious system. This includes more than 8 lakh properties. Which will have to be managed. Therefore it cannot be managed on the basis of religion. Anyone can manage it. Congress leader Imran Masood was angered by Kiran Rijiju’s statement.

Covering non-Muslims in Central Waqf Parishad

According to Kiren Rijiju, the Central Waqf Parishad will have 22 members, out of which 10 will be Muslim and a maximum of four non-Muslim members. It will also include two women. The Waqf Parishad will also include MPs, Supreme Court and Retired Judges, former bureaucrats and lawyers of the High Court. MPs can be of any religion.

Imran Masood asked questions

Imran Masood asked the NDA government, what is your enmity with us? Why do you want to ruin us? Waqf’s income helps poor people. What will they do if more than 12 out of 22 non-Muslims are included in the Waqf Board? Please include me in the Ram Mandir Trust. I am also a descendant of Ramji. Would you give me admission? You will ask for evidence, I will prove that I am a descendant of Ramji.

NDA, warning to TDP

Imran Masood has warned Chandrababu Naidu (TDP), Nitish Kumar (JDU), Chirag Paswan and Jayant Chaudhary on the issue of Waqf Amendment Bill 2025 and said that if you want a Muslim vote, stand with us. Otherwise Muslims will not forgive. This is a serious issue for Muslims.
